Cello Shots is a virtual cello instrument built for producers who think out of the box. Instead of long bowed notes, it gives you the cello as a rhythm machine: percussive hits, slaps, textures, and one-shot riffs — all recorded from a real acoustic cello played by an academically trained musician, all playable from your keyboard.[/vc_column_text]

Four sound banks to build with

FX — vinyl crackles, sweeps, scrapes and gloriously weird noises made on the body and strings of the cello. Instant texture and movement for your intros, transitions, and background dirt.

Low Percussion — deep, woody percussive hits from the low end of the instrument. Layer them under your drums or use them as organic 808-style punctuation.

High Percussion — tight, snappy hits from the upper register. Think organic rimshots, clicks, and accents that cut through a mix without sounding like a drum machine.

Slaps — the playable heart of the instrument. Slapped cello notes mapped across the keyboard so you can play chord progressions, basslines, and melodies with a raw, percussive string tone you won’t get from any orchestral library.

Each preset is a musical theme of cello riffs, bites, bends, licks, chops, and chords, recorded in 5 keys (A, C, D, E, G) at 4 tempos (90–120 BPM), and laid out across the keys for intuitive playing. The key and tempo are a starting point, not a rule — trigger the one-shots at any tempo, reorder them, fight them, and they turn into riffs no one has heard before. That’s the point of Cello Shots: it doesn’t just play back samples, it pushes you into ideas you wouldn’t have programmed on purpose.
